Firstly, thank you for visiting and a little background to myself...

Now being retired from life as a company owner in the Landscape Construction Industry, serving both National Companies and Domestic Clients, my principal pursuits are now horology focused.

My interest in Horology was first piqued in the early 1970s, when I received a mechanical watch from my parents to commemorate a milestone birthday.
Since retirement I was able to devote more time as a volunteer to charitable organisations I felt needed my additional support.   One being a local Watch Museum of which I am now a Director and Trustee.

Early on in my journey exploring all aspects of horology, particularly at a time before the arrival of the internet, I quickly realised the need to reach out and seek information, guidance, and advice, from those with far greater knowledge.
Thankfully, for me, the support and assistance I have received from fellow enthusiasts, watchmakers, timepiece manufacturers, Museums, fellow curators, writers, both here and abroad has simply been overwhelming.

Horology is such a vast subject covering centuries of discovery and development making it impossible (for me) to acquire all the knowledge that is available out there, therefore everyday now remains as a school day...long may it continue.
Throughout this journey I have been fortunate to forge many friendships and collaborations, that have remained to this day.

Over the coming weeks I will be adding content, topics, which hopefully will be of interest to others and encourage comment and participation.
